U-Shaped Automatic Duct Line

From coil to pre-folded rectangular duct in one automated process.

The U-Shaped Automatic Duct Line brings the main stages of rectangular HVAC duct production together: decoiling, levelling, reinforcing beads, corner notching, cutting, Pittsburgh lock forming, TDF flange forming and folding. Duct sections leave the line pre-folded, ready for final seam closure and fitting of flange corners.

Once the material is loaded and the machine is set up, the operator enters the required dimensions and quantity on the touchscreen and starts the automatic cycle. Powered transfer platforms and servo-controlled feeding move the material between stations, reducing manual measuring, handling and repositioning throughout production.

Cutting, lock forming, flange forming and folding follow a coordinated sequence, helping your team spend less time moving and setting up individual sheets.

Bringing duct production in-house

For shops purchasing finished ductwork or completing much of the forming work manually, an automatic line provides greater control over production schedules, dimensions and order quantities. Producing directly from coil allows you to manufacture duct sections around your own project requirements and respond to changes without waiting for an outside supplier.

By automating the repetitive forming stages, the line helps your team focus on seam closure, corner fitting and final assembly as your ductwork business grows.

Configured for your shop

Each line is built to order. Different working widths, folding capacities and coil-rack arrangements are available to suit your production needs and available floor space. Pittsburgh lock and TDF flange forming are standard, with other lock and connection systems available by request.

Glue application and insulation automation can also be explored as custom options, subject to engineering review.

Your quoted package includes delivery, machine installation, operator training and warranty coverage, with the scope and warranty terms confirmed in your quotation. STAN also provides Canadian after-sales technical support and access to replacement parts.
